beth pegler about me

Jewellery designer and maker working with recycled precious metals and recycled rope.

I am a mum of four living and working from my home studio in Sheffield, UK. I started making and selling textile jewellery in 2014 when my youngest child was born. I had left teaching and needed to find a way of working around the needs of my young family. I have always loved making, so being able to turn that creativity into a job was the dream.

I now have stockists in the UK and abroad and also exhibit in galleries, including The Scottish Gallery’s 2019 exhibition Feeling Fabric. My work has been featured in magazines including Mollie Makes Social Media, Project Calm, Lionheart and 91 magazine.

I teach in person workshops on rope jewellery making in Sheffield and further afield for the V&A at Wilderness Festival and at the museum in London. I have also filmed a Domestika course which is available worldwide.

I love using the age-old art of knot making to create a modern, wearable piece of jewellery and in more recent years have discovered the joys of metalwork. I now make pieces in recycled silver using the ancient techniques of sand and wax casting alongside the rope jewellery. These silver pieces can also be gilded gold by a small local business right here in Sheffield.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my work.
