The perfect little shell that I used for these necklaces was found on Margate beach this summer. I didn’t want a replica of it but rather an impression of its form so I pressed it into wax and cast it in recycled silver. The shells have then been made into pendants and strung on recycled silver chains. Two of the necklaces have been gilded gold here in Sheffield.
